Difference between Social Action and Community Service

Social Action is complying with the projects, events, or awareness's that Gamma Phi Delta Sorority Incorporated has specified as its platform and is displayed on its monthly calendar. Social Action is when people come together to help improve their lives and help solve the problems that are important in their communities. Through Social Action we can demonstrate a position on public issues, determine the action to be taken, and give direction.

Community Service to Gamma Phi Delta Sorority Incorporated is when a chapter chooses to support an organization, project, or event that is not specified in the Sororities platform or monthly calendar. It is unpaid work performed by a person or group of people for the benefit and betterment of their community without any form of compensation, volunteering gives you the opportunity to practice important skills used in the workplace, such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, project planning, task management, and organization.
