I greet you from the Mighty Founding Northern Region of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated. As the Northern Regional Director, I welcome you to review our website to gain greater insight into our illustrious organization. The Northern Region has 14 chapters and Members-At-Large with territories in Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia.
As the Northern Region Director, I’m excited to work with our members in partnership with stakeholders, community leaders, youth, and families as we evolve to the next level of living. To progress is movement and remembering that it is not intensifying what is, but advancing towards what will be. Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated was founded in 1943 on the campus of the Lewis Business College in February 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. Our founder Mrs. Elizabeth A. Garner, an instructor at Lewis Business College, and co-founder was her sister, Mrs. Violet T. Lewis, Owner, and President of Lewis Business College, identified that there was a need for women to be empowered with business skills while achieving educational degrees of completion. Our sisterhood has embraced a sisterhood that includes ongoing service to all mankind, individual communities, and youth while facilitating social justice initiatives, and supporting business owners. We extend an open invitation, to women of all professions, business owners, and those that have achieved in the academic arena. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about our sorority, membership, or a desire to participate in our community initiatives. Thank you for visiting the Northern Region website. In sisterhood, Dr. Karen D. Streeter |
